Fabia and Octavia's small turbo petrol. The timing chain and tensioner are a checkpoint after mileage, and intake leaks trigger lean codes.

Octavia estate and Superb diesel. A durable engine, but at high mileage keep an eye on battery voltage - the injection control electronics are demanding.
