The all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive system has detected a fault and may have reduced or disabled power transfer to the secondary axle.
If the light appeared after being stuck and spinning the wheels, let the system cool for 15-20 minutes off-road before continuing. If it persists in normal driving, have the transfer case and AWD system diagnosed.
